2007 International Human Beatbox Convention

On Sunday March 18th 2007, beatbox artists will be travelling from all over the world to take part in the 3rd International Human Beatbox Convention at London’s prestigious South Bank Centre.
The all-day event, which is the 3rd global conference of it’s kind, will include workshops, seminars, talks, film screenings, interactive stands, showcases and the international open mic. These afternoon events take place from 2-6pm, and are totally free of charge.
Later on in the evening, there will be a closing concert, featuring some of the world’s most amazing beatbox artists, all of whom are pushing the boundaries of the artform.

'Advanced Beatbox Masterclass' with UK Midlands Champion THePETEBOX
Seminars:
'Human beatboxing and health' with Dr Ruth Epstein
'Question and Answer Session' with Roxorloops, Bee Low and Killa Kela (tbc)
Open Mic:
International Open Mic session from 16.30 - 18.00, hosted by Orifice Vulgatron (Foreign Beggars)
Film Screenings:
'Breath Control: a history of the Human Beatbox' directed by Joey Garfield. (tbc)
CLOSING CONCERT:
The lineup includes:
- Shlomo and the Vocal Orchestra The world's first full human beatbox choir with the Swingle Singers, plus UK Allstars Zani, Bellatrix, Spitf'ya and Shlomo. Plus special guest Eska Mtungwazi.
- Beardyman(UK National Champion, live looping show)
- Roxorloops and Karen (Ex-Beatoxic, World Team Champions)
- Bellatrix (UK's leading female beatboxer - full jazz show)
- Shlomo (full show, looping, and drumming + visuals from SeaBuzzard)

TICKETS
The afternoon events, from 2-6pm are FREE of charge, open to the public, with no tickets necessary. Tickets for the Closing Concert, 8pm, Purcell Room, Sunday March 18th are priced at £13, or £6.50 concessions
