Hello folks!

I´m on a 1mbit/256k line and don´t use much of the traffic at the moment!

If you want I can setup an FTP where you all can put on or download beatbox stuff!

I would make an acc for this Board so everyone has the possibility to share some nice beats!

The FTP is now open!

Some things first:
1 Login per person
5 Users Limit
No delete rights
Don´t upload crap (other then beatbox related material)
Don´t try to mess with the acc or I will close it immediately
Of course you can upload your own stuff as well and link to it in your audio clip post!
If someone wants a personal acc with delete rights for his own stuff plz msg me

I have created 5 folders:
- selfmade (your own stuff)
- professional (stuff from Rhazel, ect.)
- movies (selfexplaining)
- tutorials (texts, videos, sounds that explain techniques etc.)
- battles (you´ve started a battle? make a name folder and upload it so everyone can challenge you

)

please sort your stuff into the right folder
Feel free to create your own folder within (maybe use ur name to make it easyer to find your stuff for others)
If you upload into prof maybe create a folder for the artist and then upload into it!

DON´T HAMMER the Server!
You only can login with 1 connection so Progs like GoZilla or GetRight woun´t work!!!
If you connect more then 10times in 45seconds you will be banned for 5minutes! So please don´t try it you only slow down the Server!

You can use any FTP client u want!
If you don´t have one get FlashFXP here: http://www.flashfxp.com

Of course you can always link direktly to your uploaded files on my ftp in you postings!

It works like this

ftp://beatbox:kickit@starbug.dynip.c...older/yourfile

Like

ftp://beatbox:kickit@starbug.dynip.c...dougfresh4.mov

ATTENTION: I use a trial Version of the DynIP client (that makes my IP fix!)! It expires every 30 days after that I have to create a new trial account and the IP will change! I will announce the change of IP here in this Thread!
If you have linked your uploaded Files directly in your posts then you have to edit the IP for my server then! Sorry for that inconvenience!

Quick FlashFXP Tutorial:

Ok it seems that some of you never worked with an FTP Client (FlashFXP for example)
1) Get it (http://www.flashfxp.com)
2) install it
3) start it
4) press F4 ore "Site - Site Manager.."
5) click on the Button "New Site"
5) enter a name like StarBuG FTP or such in the box that pops up and press OK
6) now enter my ftp details given above (IP, Port, User, PW) in the right fields
6) press Apply
7) press connect

Now you are on my ftp and the the folders!
If you look at FlashFXP you see 8 symbols on each site above the windows!
The last one on each site (the most right) is the button to switch between an ftp and your harddisk!
So if you connect to my site and see my 5 folders on the left then you already should see your hdd on the right!
If you only see an empty window on the right press the last button (mentioned above) toswitch to your hdd!
Now you can choose the folder you want to download the stuff to on your harddisk!
You can download/upload by simply drag&drop the files you want!

If there are any further questions plz ask

Nice one, starbug... we have been looking for some decent space to upload our audio...

Mabye you should have a private chat with A-Plus... and make it so that people can access it really easy...

Like a page for uploading, that gives you links to FTP software and mp3 converting programs.. etc...

Why u wanna make a page?

I simply post the ftp datas here and you cn axx it

Of course I have to limit the number of users simultaniously on the ftp cause my upload speed is only 32k
But I think thats no problem at all hehe

If you have a main page... new people wont need to ask pointless questions all the time...

And it would be good to have a central place to find your FTP... rather than having to wait for you to post...

I think everyone should create their own folder for their audio...

That's what ive done...

Or

You could create accounts for everyone that is interested... so they all have their own amount of space...?

oh and maybe you can make a techniques folder too ... im sure people have some text files on how to do wind tech and such...might be helpful for other people....just an idea tho..

New Folder added: tutorials

By the way my server is up 24/7

BuG Fixed: Bevor now it was impossible to upload anything cause I had forgotten to remove the quota option (it was set on 0bytes)
Now everything works fine!

If anyone experiences any further problems please reply ;-)

I have no traffic limit if you mean that but I´m a private person and no official (web)space hoster!

So I thought the server would be good for some of you who haven´t space to upload there mp3´s to!

I don´t want to be a sharestation for illegal material so it´s mainly thought for your selfmade mp3´s

If one public acc doesn´t work out I always can switch to personal ones so that everyone who is interested get a private upload acc and one public leech for the board community

The best way is that you create a folder with your nick as name so ... u get the idea I think

You and A-plus, need to get in contact... cause this could solve all our problems of uploading...

Basically we could just direct the link to the clip... to your FTP... then people can just log on and download the appropriate clip.. and comment away...
