9 JAN 04 WAS AN EPIC DAY FOR "THE VOWEL MOVEMENT"

WELL LETS JUST SAY IT INVOLES ABOUT FIVE EFFECTS PEDDLES AND A LAPTOP, IF YOUR KID BEYOND (ONE OF THE ORGINIZERS, OF THE VOWEL MOVEMENT) KID BEYOND RECIEVED NOT ONE NOT TWO BUT THREE STANDING OVATIONS FROM THE 100 PLUS CROWD, PACKED INTO ASHKANAZ PERFORMING ARTS CENTER. A CROWD WICH INCLUDED ABOUT 20 SENIOR CITIZEN, WHO WHERE AT THE VERY FRONT OF THE CROWD. (RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME) THESE ELDERS DID NOT STOP BOBBING THEIR HEADS TO THE BEAT DURING THE 2 1/2 HOURS OF ELITE VOCAL PERCUSSION. IF YOU CAN PICTURE 20, GRAY HAIRED, 50 YR OLDS BOBBING THEIR HEADS TO A BEATBOXER, WELL LETS JUST SAY IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL THING.

Yea man, It was crazy! He had to have practiced that cause I would have never remembered all those steps he did. The beats actually sounded like a real song. I was so confused and man. It was just SIMPLY AMAZING. Props to Kid Beyond for those 5 crazy ass songs!

On another note, I really liked the Soulati and this other guy's(was wearing a grey hat) collaboration. They did beats that were really outstanding and very intricate. They also did Grindin' and Xxplosive. My friend Rhythamatik thought Soulati took his Xxplosive beat but haha yea..Rhythmatik did that beat at the Vowel Movement in the Exit Theatre Cafe in SF. I think it was the first or second.

I have the vids taped also so just hit me up if you want them uploaded..

I thought there was going to be an open mic for the crowd but we left after the Kid Wonder's songs because we had to leave. Was there an open mic later? If there was, damnnnn.

AND THE DUDE IN THE GREY HAT WAS INFINITE OF FELONIOUS CREW.

...i was just goin OoOOOo da whole time...infinite and soulati had SICK ASS COLLABO...Jin'll put up the vid sometime cuz im too lazy..and NO im not mad dat dey MITE have took da Xxplosive beat dat i did before...if dey DID take it..man that wudve been an honor man..but yea everything was sick im glad i went...kid beyond jsut continues to amaze man forreal (and change his name..lol what about Z-Rox? o well, he still kicked ass)...my friend was goin to do an Open Mic there but i guess that show didnt have room for open mic. o well, maybe next time..
