As you may or may not know, I've been learning some basic HTML. That means I can now actually be USEFUL on our beloved HBB.com, which is a GREAT relief to me. So if you notice any broken links, giant pictures, typos in articles... point me in their direction and watch in amusement as I attempt to fix it with all the competence and serenity of Basil Fawlty before his morning coffee. Yes, I may find it challenging, and yes, it may take me five times as long as a seasoned techie, but I enjoy grappling with the logic and structure of it. HTML FTW. Just so you know, I'm not even attempting to fill BM's shoes; they are so big they would keep slipping off my feet and making me fall over. I'm merely doing my paltry best to make this site everything I believe it can and should be. Peace and cuddles to all o' y'all!0 Comments 04-01-2008
Probably about time I updated this for the sake of it... Since being a moderator, I haven't really noticed any change in the way I act on the forum, not really. I sort of always assumed I should act a certain way to start with. I always want to be liked, you see, and I want people to get on with each other. So I guess I had a vaguely mod-ish outlook to start with. I dunno, I have no idea if I'm a good mod, there's no real feedback system. Maybe I should have something in my sig, the equivalent of a "How's my driving?" bumper sticker. How's my modding? 14-07-2007
... It's entirely possible that I'll start updating this one in the small hours of the morning simply because my common sense disengages, in which case there could be some very dull and / or mildly psychotic ramblings taking place here. Are internet relationships on a par with 'real' face-to-face friendships? I think so. Until recently I would have said that you can't really know someone until you've met them, but having met a few of my online buddies I can safely say that people are generally as you would expect them to be. In which case I would be more than happy to call somebody I've never met my friend. For every element of physicality that you miss out on, you get a strange kind of honesty that you don't always see in person. If you're reading this, chances are I have an interest in your opinion, so feel free to comment with your thoughts :) and if you're not reading this... your head smells of meloncheese. It just so happens that I already have a blog. I know. If you think that's geeky, please stop reading now, because I actually have two blogs. My main one, for general lifery updates and thoughts and such, is here. The other is for poetry, pictures, stories etc. that I churn out sometimes, and can be found here. It's possible that I'll update this one occasionally, maybe for beatboxing related news, we'll see. 0 Comments C'est moi aussi... | Say hello :)
