There is no right or wrong method of mixing a layered beatbox recording, just good or bad results!

Now you have an order in which to mix the layers, you need to know how to control and apply treatment to give them their own space within the mix.

Depth is how far the sound appears to be away from the listener. Dry, compressed, loud sounds appear towards the front of the mix whereas quiet, uncompressed, reverberant sounds appear towards the back of the mix.

Width is the position of the layer within the stereo field, i.e. whether the sound appears to be coming more from the left or right of the listener.
