Make Some Noise

Bar Unlimited - Bristol, UK 18th Febraury 2004

Kamniks writes...

I think I speak for all beatboxers and observers at this memorable event, that it was a great success and an awesome display of the many beatbox 'talents' from around the UK.

To begin with, TyTe began with a history of beatboxing, and this helped people who had not heard of beatboxing before. I personally found the event exceptionally fun and a great help towards my beatboxing skill - I also believe that other beatboxers at the event benefited from watching the showcases, other shows and most of all the hints & tips forum.

After TyTe's in-depth history lesson, we received some ill skills on the open mic from 420, AAA, Sketch, Hobbit, EQuASIAN & Emcee Koast2Koast, and Yasson & Bevis which was very entertaining. My favourite part of the whole eveing was the battles which allowed me too drop a few of my beats and go on to winning! Lots of respect goes out to the other battlers - BeatMuppet, AAA, eQu-ASSIAN, Bevis and especially Hobbit who created some very sick beats.

Following the battles were some great showcases from A-Plus, Monkey-Moo and TyTe that built into a small cypher together.

To finish of the event we were blessed with a great jamming session which featured everyone having a jam and enjoying themselves, especially Samurai . Also not too forget the brilliant encouraging music in the background thast kept us from taking over the show - respct to Banardo with his sick DJ skillz at the back.

A great thank-you goes out to TyTe for organising the jam.

Thanks to Kamniks for the review.
