Make Some Noise Workshops

Hope Chapel, Bristol, UK

Yasson Writes....

Well well, took us a while to find the place, but eventually got there, Bristol is such a mad place for finding stuff, your roads are insane!

Anyway... Got to the chapel, heard some heavy beats coming from within the chapel, came in to see Hobbit, 420 and Mr. TyTe on the mic, I stroll in and Tyte starts scratching my name, nice little intro, cheers mate.

There was about 10 people when I got there, then there was about 25 in the end, a group of lads turned up with a mad beatboxer who i will tell you about in a minute.

So Tyte asks me up for some didjeridoo action, so we sort out a mic stand and I get on my way with some tribal sounds. Joined by Hobbit and then TyTe, we had some very earthy, tribal sounds going on, very trancy... not as in trance music, but just that atmosphere, very ethnic, tribal.

That went on for about 5 mins or so, all recorded... wicked session.

So then me and Hobbit jammed for a bit and 420 joined in, excellent stuff all round.

The rest wont be in order, cause I am quite tired. But yeah...

There was some wicked B-Boying done by Tyte and his mates, one of them called Scramble, respect to them, you were wicked lads with mad energy.

Then there were 2 mc's, one named MC Stylz and one who was also a b-boy. Respect to the rhymers and respect for trying to get into the panpipe groove, i just dont think it was happening for me that night.

Then after lots of sick jamming by TyTe, 420, Hobbit and Sketch, a new jammer steps up to the mic. Just incredible bass sounds, such craziness too, sounded like a monster at times, he imitated also a vocoder, wich sounded spot on, it was sick.

Then TyTe and Hobbit created some sick hip-hop beats around it, man that was a sick session.

So the night ended with TyTe, Hobbit and MonsterBass new guy... just amazing, shame I didn't get to chat to yah, if you join on the site, give us a PM.

Respect to all involved in the night, I think it was tony who we gave our numbers to? Your a wicked guy, plus TyTe for setting it up, excellent job and great hall, such nice reverb.

Hope to see you round Southampton soon TyTe and see the rest of you at KOTJ in london proberbly.

Thanks To YasSon for the Review
