The 2006 Championships were a great success, with BEARDYMAN from Brighton taking the title. It was a dramatic final, with Beardyman nearly losing out to Ipswich's PIKEY ESQUIRE. After two re-matches the crowd were still cheering equally loud for both boxers and it was left up to the judges to decide. Beardyman will be representing the UK at the forthcoming World Championships taking place in Tokyo. Thanks to promoters ILL COMMOTION, Cargo nightclub was packed to the brim early on, with hundreds turned away on the door. DR RHYTHM took the title at the London heat earlier that evening, and the crowd were treated to performances from the judges ROXORLOOPS (Belgian Champion) and SHLOMO, plus appearances from JOE DRISCOLL, DJ IQ ft FOREIGN BEGGARS and DJ MATMAN.
