The Sennheiser e609 is designed primarily for miking up guitar cabs (cabinet speakers) and drums and has a distinctive flat design.

The e609 sounds very bright on beatbox but wind noise can cause problems so a pop-shield is a must. You can hear a little wind noise on the audio sample. This mic has a hyper-cardioid capsule so it doesn't pick up sounds from the front but may be susceptible to feedback in a live environment.

Overall, an interesting mic and maybe a goer if you want to record guitar, drums and beatbox in the studio.
