Shure Beta58a

The Shure Beta58 is like a quality version of the Shure SM58, with the same indestructable build but with a better frequency repsonse. It has a hyper-cardioid pick-up and is designed to be used close up.

The Beta58 is a small and comfortable mic to hold. It doesn't suffer from wind noise and has a nice tyte bass. Perhaps testament to its use for beatbox is that Killa Kela uses a Beta58 in his live performances.

This baby is in the same sort of price range as the Sennheiser e855 and to be honest I would be hard-pushed to say one was better than the other as they both sound different. A quality mic.
