We start the New Year with lots of beatbox battles!
Happy New Year, everybody! With 2017 rolling in, it doesn’t stop us from giving you the best videos of the week! I’m Doctor Brick and I hope you enjoy this week’s list!
10. Talk is Cheap | Chet Faker
TylaDubya’s channel has been consistently pushing out awesome content and this video is nothing short of that. This time, he’s teamed up with a talented singer and guitarist, Alley Crimes, to cover Chet Faker’s “Talk is Cheap”. Check it out!
9. Dharni Showcase | 2016 American Beatbox Championship
Dharni didn’t let the jury table stop him from taking the stage. The two time Grand Beatbox Champion decided to show off his skills at the American Beatbox Championships!
8. Rubik v Veko | Canadian Beatbox Championship
As Beatbox Canada rolls out their videos of the championships, they brought us another gem of a battle. Veko and Rubik go head to head for the title, trading back and forth with technique and power. Definitely worth the watch.
7. KIM | Killer Inside Me
KIM shows us the power that comes with being a Shadow Sumo. In this shoutout to BTV, Kim delivers one of his greatest routines for all of us to enjoy.
6. Alem & Kenny Urban
It wouldn’t be a beatbox championship day without a crazy showcase from some of the best beatboxers in the world. World Champion, Alem, and Grand Beatbox Champion, Kenny Urban, take the stage in Brooklyn, NY to give the American Beatbox scene an unforgettable performance.
5.BALL-ZEENGER
Even though they don’t compete anymore, Felix Zenger and Ball-Zee show off why they are still some of the best in the game. With a catchy team name and the beats to back it up, Ball-Zeenger brings the fire in this video.
4. Mr. Dimple | This is what you came for
If you haven’t heard of Mr. Dimple, then you’re missing out. Coming in 4th place for the HBB Online Beatbox Championships, Dimple has shown that his musical style is nothing short of beautiful. Check out the video for his amazing cover!
3. D-Low v Contrix
The UK Beatbox Scene has not disappointed us this past year and this battle has shown us why. While most of you probably already know the outcome of this battle, that doesn’t give you an excuse to watch these two titans go face-to-face once again.
2. Berywam | French Team Beatbox Champions
Beatness, Rythmind, Wawad, and MB14 have shown that they are each amazing beatboxers in their own right, placing top 16 in last year’s French Beatbox Championships solos. After watching this video, it’s not hard to see how they clinched the Team Championship.
1. Zer0 | Don’t Wake the Demons
Topping off our list is a special shoutout from Zer0, one of the many talented beatboxers that were selected for the upcoming Grand Beatbox Battle. Zer0 has gained a considerable reputation battling in the Beatbox-Rap Teamspeak server and it’s easy to tell why as he performs one of his signature routines. What a way to ring in the new year!

Babeli | How to structure beats
In this honorable mention, the Beatbox Guru comes back after a five-month hiatus to give us some more quality content. In this video, he interviews Babeli and goes in depth about his flow and creative process.
