Sung Lee is an award-winning beatboxer and live-looper from NJ who has been developing his craft for over 11 years. Since encountering the art of human beatboxing in 2004, he has accumulated a library of vocal sounds that include but are not limited to percussion, scratches, basslines, trumpets, synthesizers, and many other vocal sound effects. On a loopstation, he records and layers sounds to perform complete musical arrangements live, without the use of any pre-recorded samples or background instrumentals.
Sung has competed in beatbox competitions both nationally and abroad, recently representing the US at the Grand Beatbox Battle 2015 in Switzerland. Other notable career highlights include winning Kollaboration Star 2014, as well as the 2014 Season of “Amateur Night at the Apollo.”
