A forced sound - usually used for plosives - is where the sound is squeezed out making a stronger and louder sound. Sometimes forcing the sound creates a very short oscillation. For example, in the word 'bogus' the 'b' sound is very weak. However the kick drum { B } is made the same way as the 'b' but by forcing the sound it is stronger and louder. In Standard Beatbox Notation (SBN), forced sounds are notated using a capital letter.
