Hi! My name is Jon and I have the fancy title as Creative Director here at Humanbeatbox.com. What that means is that I'm in charge of all the articles, videos, and cool stuff that you see on the site. I fell in love with beatboxing back as a kid, when I used to watch the same viral beatbox videos over and over - especially the ones with Daichi and the infamous Poolpo. After being shy about my beatboxing for many years, I finally went to my first beatboxing event, the 2014 American Beatbox Championships, where I got to meet all my heroes, including B-Art, Reeps One, and the Beatbox House. That night, I knew I wanted to be more involved in whatever way I could. I haven't looked back since! After doing more research about beatboxing, I realized that there wasn't really a solid resource that could unite the global community. I started the blog "We Talk Beatbox," in the summer of 2015, and after seeing its potential, I teamed up with Kazu to push it further. In early 2016, Tyte decided it was time to pass on HBB to a new era, and he truly believed in our team. I knew from that moment on, that we had a large task at hand and we needed to expand. Without the help of Nate and Kazu, HBB would not be what it is today. Together, our dream team continues to push the community forward with the single goal of making beatboxing a respected and legitimate art form.
