I partially agree with your advice but the more beatbox progresses as an art form the faster people learn the foundation. For instance, Gene only beatboxed for around 3 years and won the GBBB, so to me, it really depends on your level of interest. Also, I think you should try to switch tempos at times and try to do something that sounds “odd” because you never know what that odd technique or style could eventually evolve into. My message is that you should be open and experimental even if you are a freshy. Strive to be unique, people appreciate that!
